Who we are
Quickwave Technologies ("Quickwave", "we", "us") is a software company based in Nairobi, Kenya. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can reach us on WhatsApp at 0798 871 229 or by email at hello@quickwave.co.ke.
What this policy covers
This policy covers this marketing website only. Our products have their own privacy policies, which apply when you use them.
Data we collect
- Information you send us. When you email us, message us on WhatsApp or use the contact form, we receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, company, email address, phone number and message.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and reliability.
- Usage data. We use Google Analytics to see how visitors find and use this website, such as the pages you view, how long you stay and how far you scroll, the website or search engine that sent you here, links you click to other websites, when you start filling in the contact form (not what you type), your device, browser, language and screen size, and your approximate location (city or country). Google Analytics stores a random ID in two first-party cookies on this website (
_gaand_ga_R0PR1WJ3WJ) that last up to two years; some browsers delete them sooner. Google uses your IP address to estimate your location and to filter out spam, then discards it.
This website does not show ads or use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible project (our legitimate interest, or steps before entering a contract with you).
- To keep this website secure and working (our legitimate interest).
- To measure and improve this website using Google Analytics reports (our legitimate interest in understanding how it is used).
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping business records.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for marketing without your consent.
Sharing
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run our business, such as email and hosting providers, under contracts that require them to protect it, or where the law requires us to.
Google provides Google Analytics to us as a service provider and may store the data on servers outside Kenya. Google explains how it uses information from websites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails and messages for as long as needed to handle your request and any project that follows, and then for as long as the law requires us to keep business records. Google Analytics deletes user-level data linked to your cookie ID within 14 months of your last visit; reports that only show totals are kept longer.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 of Kenya you have the right to be informed about how your data is used, to access it, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its processing. To use any of these rights, email hello@quickwave.co.ke or message us on WhatsApp at 0798 871 229. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).
Security
This website is served over HTTPS. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data we hold.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
