What is M-Pesa & payment integration?
M-Pesa integration connects your website, app or business system to Safaricom M-Pesa so customers can pay and your system confirms the payment automatically. Quickwave integrates STK Push checkout, paybill and till (C2B) payments, B2C payouts and reconciliation, either through ZetuPay, our own payment gateway, or directly through the Safaricom Daraja API.

STK Push checkout
Customers get an M-Pesa prompt on their phone at checkout and approve with their PIN. Your system confirms the payment from the callback, not from a screenshot.

B2C payouts and refunds

FAQ
M-Pesa integration: common questions
Should I integrate M-Pesa directly with Daraja or use a payment gateway?
A gateway such as ZetuPay is faster to launch because it handles the Daraja app, certificates and callbacks for you. A direct Daraja integration gives you full control of your own shortcode and is worth it for high volumes or custom flows. We build both and help you choose.
What M-Pesa payment types can you integrate?
STK Push (Lipa na M-Pesa Online), paybill and Buy Goods till payments (C2B), payouts to customers (B2C), transaction status queries and account balance checks, plus reconciliation of all of them.
Do I need a paybill or till number?
Yes, or a bank account. A direct Daraja integration needs your own paybill or till. With ZetuPay, payments settle straight into the paybill, till or bank account you already have, and ZetuPay handles the Daraja side.
Can you add M-Pesa to my existing website or system?
Yes. We integrate M-Pesa into existing websites, WooCommerce stores, apps, ERPs and custom systems, usually without rebuilding them.
How do you make sure payments are not lost or double-counted?
We store every callback, process it idempotently so retries cannot record a payment twice, and run automatic reconciliation to catch any payment whose callback never arrived.
