Products, prices, stock and the open shift are stored on the till. Sales, returns and shift events queue while offline and sync in order when the connection returns, and nothing is saved twice.
Fast till with M-Pesa
Scan barcodes or search by name, then split one sale across cash, M-Pesa, card, bank transfer, cheque and credit. Type the M-Pesa code offline, or send an M-Pesa prompt through ZetuPay.
Thermal receipts with your KRA PIN
ESC/POS receipts on 58 mm or 80 mm paper over USB, serial, Bluetooth or QZ Tray, with your logo, KRA PIN, VAT breakdown and a QR code. The cash drawer can open on cash sales.
Shifts and cash control
Each drawer opens with a float and closes with a count by notes and coins, showing expected cash, counted cash and the variance. Cashiers share a drawer by switching with a PIN.
Multi-branch stock control
Each branch keeps its own stock ledger at average cost and can have its own prices. Move stock with transfers, approved adjustments and stock takes, with batch and expiry tracking where needed.
Purchasing, wholesale and packs
Goods received notes post stock at cost and update supplier balances. Wholesale prices apply from a set quantity, and crates, cartons and bales sell from the single units in stock.
Customers and credit
Sell on credit within a limit, take account payments at the till or in the back office, and print A4 statements. The debtors report shows who owes what, and for how long.
Profit and loss, expenses and reports
Record rent, wages and other costs, including petty cash paid from the till, then see net profit. Thirteen reports, from sales and VAT to stock valuation and shift variance, export to Excel, CSV or PDF.
Wave AI assistant

Sign up
Sign up at wavepos.app with your business name and plan. Your shop opens at yourshop.wavepos.app on a 14-day free trial, with VAT rates, payment methods and a main branch set up.
Add products and staff
Import products, prices and barcodes from Excel or CSV, or add them by hand. Then add branches, tills and staff, giving each person their own PIN.
Set up the till
Open the till in Chrome or Edge on any computer or tablet and install it as an app. Connect a USB scanner and a 58 mm or 80 mm thermal printer.
Sell and track
Sell, take M-Pesa and close shifts at the till while owners follow every branch on the dashboard. Pay for your plan by M-Pesa prompt, or buy Wave POS outright.

Does Wave POS work without internet?
Yes. The till keeps selling, printing receipts and running shifts when the internet goes down, and sends every sale to the server in order when the connection returns. Each till must be online once at setup to download products and settings.
Does Wave POS accept M-Pesa?
Yes. Cashiers record M-Pesa payments with the transaction code, which works offline, and can split one sale across M-Pesa, cash, card, bank transfer, cheque and credit. With a ZetuPay key saved, the till can also send an M-Pesa prompt to the customer’s phone.
What hardware do I need for Wave POS?
Any computer or tablet with Chrome. You can add a USB barcode scanner, a 58 mm or 80 mm thermal printer (USB, serial, Bluetooth or QZ Tray) and a cash drawer that opens through the receipt printer.
Can I run several branches on one account?
Yes. Each branch has its own stock, tills and prices, you see them all on one dashboard, and stock moves between branches with transfers. Starter covers 1 branch, Business 3, and Enterprise and One-off are unlimited.
How long does it take to set up Wave POS?
Your shop opens as soon as you sign up, at its own address such as yourshop.wavepos.app, with roles, VAT rates, payment methods and a main branch ready. You then import products from Excel or CSV and install the till in Chrome. Business, Enterprise and One-off plans can also use up to three custom domains.
Does the receipt show my KRA PIN and VAT?
Yes. Receipts carry your logo, KRA PIN, VAT breakdown, your own header and footer, and a QR code of the receipt number.
